Second Books is an innovative digital publisher focused exclusively on publishing and distributing e-books within the virtual environment of Second Life. Taking advantage of the growing community and immersive nature of Second Life, Second Books offers a new reading experience by integrating digital books into the virtual world. Our business model eliminates the costs of printing and physical distribution, focusing on creating high-quality digital content and marketing strategies targeted at the Second Life audience.

Launched on January 19, 2025, Second Books is dedicated to the international literary market. Second Books is a publisher focused exclusively on independent publishing. We publish "only" digital books and e-books, we do not work with printed books, however our publishing process is the same as that of large RL publishers. What is different is the ISBN (International Standard Book Number) which, since it is only for publications in the virtual environment, was replaced by the SNBVE (Standard Book Number for Virtual Environments) and is requested from the Agency responsible for it. We create the layout and cataloging, generating all the bibliographic information needed to identify and locate your book in the collection of the virtual library(ies) where it is available for sale.

Although the market for digital books in metaverses is still developing, Second Books stands out by focusing exclusively on Second Life, offering an experience integrated into the virtual environment. Indirect competition includes other forms of entertainment and digital content within Second Life.
